FeedingWhen does an automatic feeding line pay for itself?
Hand feeding costs labour, wastes feed and feeds the flock unevenly. Work out your own payback, then see what a pan line, a chain line and a silo each do.

The pan feeding system consists of a driving device, hopper, conveying pipe, auger, feed trays, a suspension lifting device, an anti-perching device and a feed sensor. Feed is conveyed from the hopper into each tray so every broiler is fed.
The material-level sensor opens and closes the conveying motor automatically, which is what makes the line genuinely automatic rather than merely mechanised.
