EnvironmentAir inlets, negative pressure, and the ammonia you can smell
Ammonia at bird level is usually an air inlet problem, not a fan problem. How negative pressure works in a poultry house, and how to set inlets correctly.
Insulated engineering-plastic air inlet with a tight seal when closed and flexible opening, in three hole sizes.

Air inlets set the direction and velocity of incoming air, which is what actually determines whether minimum ventilation works. These are moulded from high-grade engineering plastic — durable and highly age-resistant — with a 20mm polystyrene insulation board inside the flap so condensation does not form on cold days.

Farm managementA build-order walk through a small broiler house: shed, power, brooding, feed, water, air, catching and spares, with what to decide before you spend.
VentilationCone, butterfly, drop hammer or centrifugal shutter: what the air volume figure means, how many fans a house needs, and the voltage question to settle.
Environment ControlRuns temperature, minimum air volume and light curves across the whole house — fans, heaters, curtains, pads, lighting and feed lines — with remote monitoring from a phone.
Environment ControlExtruded PVC double-wave light trap that blocks daylight at the fan or inlet while keeping air resistance low.
Environment ControlHot-galvanised bulk feed silo with an inspection hole on the hypo-cone, in multiple capacities.
